Our Offices will be closed on:

September 3 and September 6, 2010

The Department of Financial Institutions and Office of Credit Unions will be closed on Friday July 2, 2010 as a result of the day being designated as a Furlough Day for employees of the Department of Financial Institutions and the Office of Credit Unions.

In addition, we will also be closed on Monday July 5, 2010 for Fourth of July Observance.

Although the Agency will be closed to the public on these days, Internet Web Services will still be available for individuals who are accessing or filing documents over the Internet.

Any online document received on a day the Uniform Commercial Code Bureau is closed for a furlough day, holiday or weekend will be effective on the day it is received provided the filing meets statutory requirements.

As with holidays and weekends, there will be no mail delivery to the Department on furlough days. There also will be no staff to accept courier deliveries.

• Effective June 30, 2006, certain filings may be affected by section 409.705 of the Uniform Commercial Code law. Any filing that has been continued and not made Article 9 compliant may be affected. We are advising lenders that they may want to have their legal counsels review section 409.705 of the Wisconsin Statutes to determine if any of their Uniform Commercial Code filings are affected.
